Cultivating Leisure for Wellbeing
What is “Cultivating Leisure for Wellbeing”? A practice that increases the enjoyment and fulfilment of life by adopting and developing a more holistic and conscious approach to leisure. Who is it for? Anyone feeling overwhelmed by their work and or other commitments and are seeking spaciousness in their lives. Older adults wondering how to find fulfilment beyond the traditional age and concepts of retirement. What does it do? For anyone who is overwhelmed (or on the verge of it) due to overload in their work and/or other responsibilities, cultivating leisure reframes the way they experience time and reorders their obligations to help them find breathing space so they can create more Time for Life. For older adults nearing the end of their traditional work lives, cultivating leisure repurposes their knowledge, skills, and other attributes to help them find new purpose and meaning; connection; contribution and stimulation; fun and pleasure so they can create fulfilment in their Life Beyond Work. What is the process? Cultivating Leisure for Wellbeing is a program designed to increase the understanding, value, and practice of casual, project and serious leisure. It is delivered through training, facilitating, speaking, and coaching to individuals and groups. The program is underpinned by a comprehensive set of resources developed, used and refined over many years by Andrew Kikeros, a professional leisure strategist and coach, and principal of Life Time Wise. |
